It was a privilege for Lord-Lieutenant Stephen Leckie to attend and take part in the Songs of Praise Service to launch the 900th Anniversary Celebrations for St John’s Kirk. The service was led by Rt Rev Rosie Frew, Moderator of the general Assembly of the Church of Scotland, Rev Drew Barrie, Moderator of the Presbytery of Perth, Rev Dr John Ferguson, Clerk to the Presbytery of Perth and Rev Sandy Gunn, Interim Moderator and Locum St John’s Kirk. Long service awards were given out to Church Elders and Choir Members from Churches within the Presbytery area.
