Vice Lord-Lieutenant Alex Cairncross was welcomed at Strathallan School Speech Day along with pupils, parents, staff and honoured guests to celebrate another remarkable year in their school community.
Guest speaker, William Whitehorn OBE, gave an inspiring address encouraging pupils to embrace the winds of change as they look towards the future.
Headmaster, Mr Lauder, reflected on a year of outstanding achievement across the school, celebrating the academic, sporting and personal successes of our pupils. Among the many inspiring stories he shared was that of Year 1 pupil Betty, whose selfless decision to give up her birthday presents in favour of charitable donations perfectly captured the spirit of our community.
School Captains, Farrah and Ben, entertained the audience with a witty and heartfelt Vote of Thanks.
A special tribute was also paid to Mr Paul Vallot, who retired after 39 years. From teaching Biology and serving twice as Housemaster to leading the clay pigeon shooting and nurturing the Eco-Schools programme, Paul has made an extraordinary contribution to school life and leaves an enduring legacy.
